Position:
Legal and Compliance Manager
Role:
Overseeing the legal affairs and providing strategic legal advice to NATCO Group. Plays a critical role in protecting the organization's legal interests, managing legal risks, and supporting the achievement of its business objectives.
Duties:
Legal
Strategy and Oversight:
1.
Develop and implement the
organization's legal strategy in alignment with its overall strategic
objectives.
2.
Provide legal guidance and
support to senior management and the board of directors.
3.
Ensure compliance with
applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
4.
Oversee the organization's
legal operations and manage legal budgets effectively.
Legal Risk
Management:
1.
Identify and assess legal
risks associated with the organization's activities, operations, and business
transactions.
2.
Develop and implement risk
mitigation strategies and processes.
3.
Advise on potential legal
consequences and recommend appropriate actions to minimize risks.
Contracts and
Legal Agreements:
1.
Review, draft, and negotiate a
wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
2.
Ensure that contracts comply
with legal requirements and protect the organization's interests.
3.
Collaborate with relevant
stakeholders to address contract-related issues and disputes.
Litigation
and Dispute Resolution:
1.
Manage and oversee litigation
and dispute resolution processes.
2.
Engage and collaborate with
external legal counsel when necessary.
Develop strategies to minimize legal disputes
and resolve them efficiently.
Job Requirements:
• 15+ years of relevant in-house and law firm experience.
• Significant experience in drafting and negotiating strategic alliance, partnership, licensing, intellectual property, and commerce-related agreements.
• Understanding of intellectual property, licensing, confidentiality, data security, and commercial law.
• Ability to understand complex contractual issues, assess risk, and provide concise business-focused legal advice.
• Ability to understand and research state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, and ability to manage multiple urgent projects concurrently.
• Experience working with multiple business functions and clients (Finance, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, People& Culture).
• Excellent judgment and ability to craft creative solutions.
